Child Care Services
The child care services provided by the Workforce Solutions for South Texas aim to build the future workforce by helping caregivers find quality child care along with helping child care providers become accredited. We supply parents and providers in finding resources and assistance along with helpful links to make sure all children in South Texas are supported in their learning, growth and development.
Child Care Services (CCS) program provides subsidized childcare services to low-income families that participate in employment, training or educational activities. CCS provides essential support to families in our community by supporting the growth and development of children ages 0-13, preventing abuse and neglect and promoting health and safety.

Finding the Right Early Childhood Support Just Got Easier for Texas Families!
We are delighted to announce the launch of the newly redesigned EarlyChildhoodTexas.gov, a central location for families seeking early childhood resources in Texas.
The site, which was developed collaboratively by the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC), Texas Education Agency (TEA), Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), and Texas Department of State Health Services, provides information about Texas programs for families with young children.
One of the most exciting features of the new website is a new Early Childhood Eligibility Screener. This tool helps Texas families figure out if they are eligible for certain early childhood programs. In this first release, parents can use the screener to find out if their children are eligible for resources like Child Care Services scholarships, Head Start, Early Head Start, and/or public prekindergarten.
